Ticket sales for BMW IBU World Cup Biathlon Kontiolahti proceeds as planned

No restrictions for public events in Finland

According to the policy published yesterday by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health, Finnish authorities do not restrict public events due to Coronavirus.

The preparations for the BMW IBU World Cup Biathlon in Kontiolahti will continue according to the original plans. The Ministry of Social Affairs and Health in Finland stated on Wednesday that there are no restrictions for organising public events.

─ This is a relief for those who have not yet purchased tickets due to the uncertainty caused by Coronavirus. Now we can carry on with the ticket sales as planned, says event manager Tomi-Pekka Riihivuori.

The organiser has continued its preparations according to the original plans and will follow the regulations that the authorities give for public events.

─ From the organisational point of view, we are pretty much all set to start the event. We have good snow on the tracks and still some free accommodation available. Regarding the health issues, we pay special attention to good hygiene and recommend that the spectators and our personnel, should they not feel well, would not attend the event, Riihivuori says.
