From mid-October, the cooled track of the Kontiolahti Biathlon Stadium in North Karelia in the beautiful beach scenery of Höytäinen offers the opportunity to practice biathlon and cross-country skiing even when there is not enough natural snow.
The track is made with the cannon snow stored last winter. The snow is spread over the asphalted track, which is kept cold if necessary by the cooling pipeline under the track.
