Kontiolahti Outdoor serves as part of the Kontiolahti Biathlon family, especially in the vicinity of the Kontiolahti Biathlon Stadium. Some of our services, such as fatbike rental or eco-gun shooting, can also be produced elsewhere.

You can ski on Kontiolahti's first snow slope from mid-October, even when there is not enough natural snow. The track with a versatile profile is 1.5-4 km long and offers options for both fitness and competitive skiers. Ticket options include a day ticket and season and company tickets.

The versatile profile of the 4 km roller skiing track that runs around the stadium provides good opportunities for practicing different techniques. The track's asphalt has been renewed in 2019-20. The biggest height difference of the track is 36 m and the biggest climb is 31 m.

The shooting bench at the Kontiolahti Biathlon Stadium has 30 seats and our partner's Biathlon Target System Kurvinen target equipment. In the renovation of the shooting range in the fall of 2020, the front edge of the bench will be asphalted, the board canopy will be renewed, and the board lights will be updated to LED lights.

The specialty and icon of the Kontiolahti biathlon stadium and the bravura rise of Kaisa Mäkäräinen. The stadium's landmark, the biathlon World Cup's most demanding climb in the Höytiäinen lake landscape, is open all year round for both fitness enthusiasts and competitors.

Kontiolahti Biathlon Stadium and its surroundings are also suitable for organizing non-sporting events. Clear and spacious logistics solutions, a central location, ready infrastructure and tested partners for implementing event services are the region's advantages.

In the maintenance buildings next to the stadium, teams, groups and individuals have 21 rooms for ski lubrication and changing rooms. Mobile maintenance facilities can be ordered in the area for larger events.

The cafe-restaurant Napakymppi serves on the ground floor of the main building. Cafe products (coffee, tea, juices, coffee sandwiches, stuffed breads) can be bought, for example, when picking up tickets for a chilled track. Lunch and other meals for groups can be ordered through our sales service.

The stadium is in the middle of the Kontionpolut network, about 50 kilometers of trail running, mountain biking and walking routes. The trail network consists of four interconnecting ring trails and connects to the Kolinpolku hiking trail that goes to Koli and the Jaama Trail ring trail that goes through the center of Joensuu. The route opened in 2017 has clear route markings and signboards.

Kontiolahti Biathlon Stadium also offers services for organizing meetings. In use is:

• meeting rooms from smaller 15-person meeting rooms to large 260-square-meter rooms.
• sauna facilities
• restaurant services
• electronic screens / video projectors & screen in some of the rooms and wireless network.

The main building of the stadium has a gym, where you can find equipment for strength training. The hall is available to club members and groups that have reserved training camp packages. Groups can book standard shifts at the gym. The gym also has the opportunity to practice shooting with bulletless, noiseless and safe eco-guns. In connection with the World Cup events, the space is reserved for the use of the event.
