The register consists of contact information provided by the persons themselves. The reported personal data can be used to convey messages related to customer service and for other communications, such as informing about upcoming events and marketing services. People who receive messages can leave the mailing list at any time.

Protection of personal data and information security

Personal data is stored on the server of the kontiolahtibiathlon.com website and possibly also in an Excel file and in the MailChimp application. Excel files, the MailChimp service and the kontiolahtibiathlon.com server can only be processed with personal credentials. Only the authors of the files and those persons who need access have access to the files. No manual printouts are made of the data.

Regular transfers and transfers of personal data

The information is not disclosed to third parties. Personal data can be transferred if the registry's service provider is changed. In this case, the transfer takes place to the administrator of the new system. The partner of the registrar who carries out the technical maintenance of the personal register and the data processor working in the association can transfer personal data in accordance with the applicable privacy protection legislation and this privacy policy (for example, backups of the register).

Retention period for personal data

Personal data is kept in the register until the person requests their deletion or until the register administrators no longer offer services. When a person in the register requests the deletion of their own data from the register, their data must be deleted within two weeks of receiving the message.

Registrant's rights

The registered person has the right to object to the processing of their personal data at any time. The registered person can give the controllers channel-specific consents and prohibitions regarding direct marketing.

Furthermore, the data subject has, in principle, the right in accordance with the applicable data protection legislation at any time:

  • get information about the processing of your personal data
  • get access to your own data and check the personal data concerning you processed by the administrators of the register
  • demand the correction and completion of inaccurate and incorrect personal data
  • require the deletion of their personal data
  • revokes his consent and objects to the processing of his personal data to the extent that the processing of personal data is based on the data subject's consent
  • objects to the processing of his personal data on grounds related to his personal special situation, to the extent that the basis for the processing of personal data is KontU's legitimate interest
  • get your personal data in a machine-readable format and transfer that data to another data controller
  • require the restriction of the processing of their personal data

The registered person must submit a request regarding the exercise of the above-mentioned right as mentioned in the Contact section of this privacy policy. The administrators of the registry can ask the registrant to specify their request in writing and have the right to ask the registrant to prove their identity before processing the request. The administrators of the register can refuse to implement the request, if there are legal grounds for doing so.

The right to complain to the supervisory authority

Every data subject has the right to file a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority or the supervisory authority of the European Union member state where the data subject's residence or workplace is located, if the data subject considers that his personal data has not been processed in accordance with the applicable data protection policy.

Consequence if data is not disclosed

Participation in raffles, public contests and similar may require the person to hand over the mentioned information. If the person does not provide the necessary information, they cannot participate in the raffles or competition.
