Starting regional innovations and experiments (AIKO) allocation

The Regional Association of North Karelia has granted Kontiolahti Urheilijat ry an allocation for the Kontiolahti biathlon event development project. The project's implementation schedule is April 1 - October 31, 2023.

The goals of the project are:

• Strengthens Kontiolahti's position as an event organizer every year
• Determines the most significant customer profiles in Kontiolahti's international biathlon events
• Create operating models to increase the number of spectators at Kontiolahti's international biathlon events

• Create operating models to make viewers following events via television part of the paying public
• Create an operating model for implementing versatile stadium operations
• Create an operating model for creating a stronger fan culture than before, provincially and nationally
• Ensures the rights to organize international biathlon events for Kontiolahti also in the future
